My motorsport journey so far

2015 - First learnt how to drive at 6 years old after Dad found a cadet kart for sale. that we use to take to an empty car park and setup cones to drive around.

2016 - Winning a karting championship in my first year racing!

Once I turned 8 years old I got the chance to drive on track for the first time. As well as joining the 2016 KartSport Tokoroa Cadet Racket championship which I ended up winning in my first season racing.

2017 - Unfortunately Stop karting due to some reasons but stayed connected with the racing scene still always out at the track and wanting to get back behind the wheel. It wasn’t until after covid that I would get the change to hop back behind the wheel but I was hungrier than ever and knew I had something to prove.

2024 - Setting the quickest lap time seen in 2024 on the Manfield back track in my first time behind the wheel!

12th of July 2024, I did my first test day with Dennis Martin, the owner of the Sabre Motorsport team, on the Manfeild backtrack. This is a test day that all the New Zealand greats have done, including Scott Dixon, Liam Lawson, Shane Van Gisbergen, and many more. I wanted to impress Dennis and everyone around me to show I had what it took to do this. Before going down, I was watching through old footage of other drivers doing the same test as me, looking at areas for me to improve and gain time on others. I got to the track early Friday morning, saw the car for the first time, and knew this is exactly what I wanted to do and what I’ve been watching for years. I got behind the wheel and set the fastest time they saw that whole year in my first couple laps out on track. I was still improving and setting the bar higher every time I went out and managed to find nearly a second, which cemented my ability, and I proved exactly what I wanted on that day.

2024 - Podium on debut in the Manfeild winter series!

After the successful test day, I joined Sabre Motorsport halfway through the Manfeild winter series, which is a series where up-and-coming drivers can test their skills before joining bigger New Zealand national championships. We all knew it would be a challenge joining halfway through the series, but not a challenge I couldn’t face. I then backed up my beliefs by getting P3 in my first ever race after starting down the grid in P10. I then gained positions throughout the race distance to confirm this result!

2024 - Joined the Hi-Q Components formula first championship With Sabre Motorsport!

Joined the 2024-25 Hi-Q Components Formula First Championship with Sabre Motorsport, a team in which some well-respected and highly rated drivers also started their careers in. Through the highs and lows of the season, Dennis Martin, the team owner, acts as a great mentor and guides all up-and-coming drivers in the right direction to the future in their careers.
