At just 17 years old, Toby is looking to be one of New Zealand’s next-generation V8 motorsport stars. Born in late 2008, Toby’s now stepping up to compete in the TA2 New Zealand Championship with Action Motorsport as the youngest driver in the grid. He’s quickly gone on to prove he’s where he’s meant to be with a race win & 4 podiums in just the first two rounds, making him the youngest TA2 NZ race winner in history as well as making him well in the fight for the championship and looking at a very successful debut season.

With the series campaign travelling across both the North & South Islands of New Zealand along side the Next-gen Championship, joining some of New Zealand’s biggest motorsport events throughout the year, such as the New Zealand Grand Prix & Taupo Supercars ITM 440. All the races throughout the season are live on Sky Sports, Fox Sports, Kayo & YouTube Which leads to lots of spectators online & in person making sure he’s in the right place to get eyes on him to make an impression.

From first starting karting when he was only 7 years old and only competing for a year winning his one and only season competing in karts. Now more recently after a gap starting his career back in formula first in 2024 getting a podium on debut in the ManFeild Winter Series and then going on to compete in the Formula First summer series where he saw constant improvement with his driving and constantly getting the most out of the machine he was given he made the jump to tin tops after just 7 months of being back racing, joining the first season of the Toyota Gazoo Racing Toyota 86 Trophy series competing in the short 4 round season over the north island then after that making the decision to compete in the 2025 South Island endurance series in the older generation Tr86 to gain experience in the South Island before a busy summer series of stepping up into the newly competitive Ta2 New Zealand Championship which is looking to be New Zealand’s biggest v8 racing series.
